The American standard "Test Method for the Fleece Retention of Corduroy Fabrics (ASTM D4685-87)" specifies the rubbing treatment procedure of corduroy fabric samples, and the instruments and methods for evaluating the pile retention performance. But the main problem is that the rating of corduroy fluff retention performance must be carried out by three inspectors with reference to the standard, and the subjective factors of the inspectors will affect the accuracy of the evaluation results. The inspection basis for my country's exported pure cotton corduroy is "Inspection Regulations for Natural Corduroy Cut Flannel (SN/TO312-94)", and the inspection basis for exported pure cotton printed and dyed corduroy is "Inspection Regulations for Cotton Printing and Dyeing Corduroy (GB/T14311-93)" , and the above two standards do not provide for the testing of corduroy fluff retention performance. After investigation, in the relevant standards of other countries, there is no description about the detection method of corduroy fluff retention performance.
